What to expect
I offer distant Reiki sessions by phone or off phone. A Reiki session is typically one hour. I start by checking in with you before Reiki begins, and again after. Reiki can be received most fully while the person hydrated and resting quietly in either sitting or lying down. Soft music in the background may help some individual rest more comfortably. This is up to the individual. Reiki is done in mostly silence. This is so, as the channel, I can keep my full focus on the person receiving reiki and on the flow of the Reiki energy.
Reiki can be very relaxing or energizing depending on the needs of the individual. At the end of the session, I will check in with you again. At this time, we can discuss how the session went, if you or I experience any areas that may have had increased energy drawing, or any emotional/physical releases noted during the session. You can also receive Reiki while not on the phone. Some people prefer to receive it while relaxing on their own and connect by phone before and again after the Reiki has ended. Others still request Reiki while doing something stressful for them such as a job interview, getting surgery, giving a public speech to name just a few. We can set up a time after the event to discuss how it went.
Explanation of Services
1
Distant Reiki - Full Session (60 minutes)
50 minutes of Reiki, 10 min check in/out with Theresa. This typically includes the basic Reiki areas; head, neck, torso. Theresa will take a few minutes at the start and end of the session to check in with the Reiki recipient to see how they're doing and what inspired them to receive Reiki at this time and then again at the end of the session to discuss anything that may have come up during the Reiki session, by either Theresa or the Reiki recipient. The Reiki can be sent to the recipient while on the phone or off with Theresa. It is recommended that you are hydrated, relax, sitting or laying down, preferably in a quiet and comfortable space. Although Reiki is done and mostly silence, Theresa will be available if any questions arise during the session if on the phone and after the session if off the phone.
2
Distant Reiki - Short focused session (30 minute)
A half hour Reiki session may be desirable for those who have never experienced Reiki before and would like to see what all the fuss is about. A 30 min session would benefit those who want to address a specific issue and/or do not have time for a full hour session. This typically would include a 5-minute to discussing Reiki before/after and 25 minutes receiving Reiki. How the 30 min session is split up will vary depending on the needs of the individual.
3
Distant Reiki - Extended Session (90 minutes)
Includes the same as the 60 minute Reiki, which covers all the core body areas including head, neck and trunk with the additional time we are typically able to include the arms, legs and chakra balancing. The arms and legs are not typically included in the hour session as they are considered extra areas in Reiki.
