What is Reiki?

Reiki is the universal energy of unconditional love.

Colorful Crystal

This energy is channeled by a Reiki practitioner from the universe to the Reiki recipient. There are 3 levels of Reiki practitioners; level 1 practitioner or higher, can perform Reiki in person, Level 2 Reiki practitioner or higher can perform distance Reiki, level 3 practitioner known as a Reiki master can teach Reiki and attune students to each level. Reiki is performed by a laying of the hands on the body when in person. Distant Reiki, as the name suggests, is not done in person but sent to the Reiki recipient. Reiki is not a Religion. Reiki is spiritual as it uses universal energy restoring health and wellness to its recipients for their highest good. Reiki is not a religious practice and does not require you believe in Reiki or to alter your belief system in anyway for it to work. You do have to be open to receiving Reiki. Reiki will not work against a person’s will.

Reiki energy is not bounded by time or space. It can be sent across distances much like radio waves. Reiki practitioners are attuned to the energy vibration of Reiki. As a practitioner, I am a channel for the Reiki energy to move from the universe to you the recipient. Much like tuning in a radio channel so you can hear the music. The person receiving Reiki can think of themselves as a sponge that has some dry spots and some damp spots in it. Wherever the Reiki recipient’s energy is depleted, the body will soak up the Reiki energy. In person this will often feel like heat, cold or tingling. What is wonderful and special about Reiki is that the Reiki recipient’s body decides what it needs, where it needs it, and how much it needs. The norm is for a bodyworker practitioner to work “on” the client as opposed to a Reiki practitioner who works “with” the client for the client’s highest good.

What is Reiki?

Reiki is an ancient natural form of hands on energy transfer, utilizing the universal life force. Every culture has recognized the existence of a vital force in man and nature. It is called by various names: Ki, Chi, Prana, Sekkhem, etc. Reiki utilizes this life force to accelerate healing, relieve pain, remove stress, induce relaxation, and promote optimal well-being by bringing harmony to the body, mind and spirit.

Reiki is non-invasive and gentle, yet extremely powerful. It is transmitted by soothing touch. Reiki may be applied to humans, animals, and plants. The recipient remains fully clothed during therapy. Reiki is also a highly effective adjunct to all other healing arts.
Reiki energy flows into and through the practitioner. Consequently the practitioner's own energy level is increased during transmission, never reduced or depleted. Practitioners can use Reiki to benefit themselves and others regardless of their own personal energy level.

At the 2nd and 3rd degree levels, Reiki healing can be transmitted over any distance and into any space slash time. It may even be applied to ideas and situations, healing the past, present and influence the future, enhance talents and eliminate it unwanted habits.
Reiki helps bring a positive shift, healing, and personal growth into the practitioners as well as the recipient’s life and promotes beneficial changes at the root cause of problems.
